It has now been just over 20 years since we said goodbye to our beloved family matriarch. For those of us who knew and loved her, her memory remains a cornerstone of our family. She meant so much to so many of us. She was a sister, mother, aunt, grandmother and great-grandmother to many of us, and the heart and soul who held us all together, offering unwavering love, wisdom, and strength.

As the years have passed, we've realized something important is missing: a lasting tribute to her at her final resting place. Rena Bell Russ' grave remains unmarked by a headstone, and we believe it’s time to rectify this.

A headstone is more than just a marker; it’s a tangible symbol of remembrance and respect. It signifies a life lived, a legacy left behind, and a place for future generations to connect with their roots. For our family, a headstone for Madea would provide:

A Place of Reflection: A dedicated spot for us to visit, remember, and feel close to her, providing a sense of peace and closure.
