Remembering Reeva

wow. We reached 5000$. So excited. Someone suggested a park bench in memoriam - I’d love that. Checking into this. I’d anyone knows someone who builds benches and/or can do artwork … I would love to see her face honored as well as helping the other animals. You guys are the best !!!

The above article tells how Reeva was shot, while on leash, because she was aggressively approached by a shitzu. The owner of the shitzu chose to shoot Reeva with 5 bullets - 4 in vital organs to stop what he called mauling (please read the story as shitzu was NOT mauled). The shooter then pepper sprayed a witness. Not debating his actions or Reevas actions I feel as if this could have been prevented if there was separate areas for small and large dogs. I’m raising funds to donate.

Update: per the Washoe county this area is unable to support fencing. In lieu of fencing, I will direct donations to Humane Network based in Reno. This is a national not for profit agency that helps animal shelters and rescue groups. They also provides animal welfare education to the public. Additionally this organization works with the lobbying and legislative side of regulations that help improve animal lives.

Reeva was such a sweet and silly girl. Anyone who came in contact with her loved her.

The funds raised will be used to benefit dogs in parks and raise awareness of alternative ways to make dog parks safer for all dogs.

Many thanks for any and all donations in hopes that nobody will ever have to experience something like this.
