On Monday, my son Randy passed away unexpectedly in his sleep. I’m raising funds to cover his funeral and to help me through the next few months as I adjust to this heartbreaking loss and the sudden change in my household income.
My son, Randall (Randy) Woodside, passed away suddenly on Monday night. He wasn’t feeling well, lay down to rest, and never woke up. Losing him this way has left me in shock and grieving a gentle, warm, and sensitive man who meant everything to me.
Randy worked in security at Gold River Estates for 12 years, and he served as the security supervisor for the last eight. He took pride in his work and cared deeply about the residents he helped protect. At home, he loved video games and found joy and connection in the stories and worlds he played through. He had a kind heart, and he was the kind of person who would support anyone who needed him.
His passing has brought not only emotional devastation but also a sudden financial hardship. Randy helped cover our household expenses, including rent, and losing that support overnight has put me in a vulnerable position while I try to navigate the first weeks and months of grief.
I am raising $13,000 to help with:
Funeral expenses
Rent and essential bills for the next few months
Basic living costs while I try to find my footing again
This support will give me a little room to breathe as I face this loss and figure out what comes next. Any amount — no matter how small — truly helps.
Thank you for reading, for caring, and for supporting me during the most challenging moment of my life.
