A Tribute to Ram

It is an honor to write this tribute to Ram Balan: a colleague, teammate, friend and family within our DMR community.  In whatever way we all knew him and however long we all cherished moments with him, Ram will always be loved and missed by all of us who were fortunate enough to have known him.

I had a chance to know Ram during my last project. Our cubicles were right next to each other and every time we were both having a tough day, he would lean over and give the "I get you" look, then smile. By giving just one look - one smile - one gesture, Ram had a way of providing empathy to the collective struggles we all felt dealing with tough clients, working endless hours, being away from our families all with that longing to find reassurance that our sacrifices mattered, that we contributed to something greater than just ourselves.

I think we can all learn from Ram - to look over more, smile more, and care more about the people we interact with and to always remember the ones we love.  Ram had a very deep and caring soul. Ram was authentic, Ram was compassionate, and Ram will always be remembered.      

Purpose
The purpose of this GoFundMe is to lessen the financial impact of unforeseen expenses on Ram's family during this already difficult time. We would also like to use this forum as a space to share your fun stories and memories of Ram and hope that this will be a successful avenue for both goals.
