Remembering Rachel Morris nee Burnham nee Chivers

Stuart, being the proud man he is, has reluctantly, but gratefully accepted the encouragement to create a Gofundme page for help towards Rachel's funeral cost and financial support for her bereaved family.

Rachel’s career started because of her love for dance, and for her need to help people. After university studying dance, she started at Sir Johnathon North Community College, which progressed to starting her own dance school and a special needs dance school. This inspired others to go on and undertake their own dance career.
She then went on to touch many more lives, fostering 52 people over 12 years - mainly mother and baby placements.
Within the mother and baby placements, Rachel always championed her own positive attributes and qualities, never turning her back no matter how challenging times were - making huge impacts on young mothers’ lives and giving them the confidence to then pass this on to their own children.
She had previously undertaken a position at a care home and on a stroke ward, always putting other people’s needs before herself in true Rachel style.

Rachel had been fighting breast cancer for a year, however within the last two months, unfortunately, the prognosis worsened dramatically, spreading to her brain, lymph nodes, pelvis and lungs. Throughout her courageous fight, Rachel always had a smile when talking about, in her words, “the shit show” she was going through. Regrettably, Rachel lost her brave battle and she passed away on the 25th of April 2022 at Leicester royal infirmary surrounded by her husband Stuart, sister and mum and dad. Rachel leaves behind two heartbroken daughters, Sienna 16 and Lyndee 12.

The family now has the arduous task of coming to terms with this loss. The impact on family life and moving forward begins with them saying farewell to their family home of 10 years and leaving behind the treasured memories built by them and all the lives and hearts Rachel has touched.
Unfortunately with Rachel being so young (47) and the cancer moving so rapidly, there were no plans or insurances in place to cover funeral costs, or for the family to be able to maintain everyday life beyond Rachel’s passing. So we are now asking for heartfelt donations to lessen the financial burden at this very sad time.
