My name is Susan. I am the mother of a son who died in a car accident on his way home on Sunday, December 14th, 2025. His name is Pernell Naquin Jr. He was a 36 year old father of three young boys ages 13, 10, and 5 who are now left without a father. The mother of these beautiful children is left raising them without her best friend. He was a loving father who was involved in his children's lives, and he will be missed more than words can express.

I am left with memories of how he enjoyed seeing others happy and would sacrifice whatever he needed to, to see things through. He strived to be a good father. This is evident by looking at each of his son's lives. He always had them with him. He was an amazing cook and a wonderful son, father, brother, uncle and friend. He truly loved his family and tried finding any and every excuse to bring us all together. He was a man of few words, but had more love in his heart than could be expressed.

On the night of December 14th, 2025, Pernell Naquin Jr., who, by the grace of God, was alone in his car less than a mild away from home, collided with another vehicle. All other persons besides Pernell survived.

Psalms 68:20 in God's holy scripture says "Our God is a God who saves; from the Sovereign Lord comes escape from death."

This is a hard truth for me to accept in this moment, but I know God's will, and God's plan is perfect. Because of the nature of his passing, no one was prepared for this emotionally nor financially. We are struggling to cover funeral expenses. We are hopeful that through this process, we could have the closure needed to continue his memory forward and to again soon let his love blossom through each of our lives.

Thank you for allowing me to share my heart and my love for my son with you all. May God shine His countenance upon us all. May He use this opportunity to touch lives of people who, by human causes, could have never been reached. May Gods love direct each of our steps toward Him.
