Remembering Pedro Castro: A Life Gone Too Soon
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Naomi, and I’m asking for your help after the sudden and heartbreaking loss of my father, Pedro “Peter” Castro.
My dad was tragically struck and lost his life while crossing the street in his wheelchair when a reckless driver fled the scene. What happened to him was deeply unfair, and our family is still in shock and mourning. We’re now trying to raise funds to give him the proper memorial and funeral service he deserves.
Peter lived in Orlando, Florida for many years, but he was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico — and he carried his roots proudly. He was an amazing cook who poured love into every dish, enjoyed watching anime, loved listening to music of all kinds, and always had a joke or story to share. He had a chill, fun personality and a warmth that made people feel comfortable around him.
Although our relationship wasn’t perfect, one thing was always true: he was proud of his kids. Life wasn’t always easy for him — he had his own struggles — but he was a true hustler, doing whatever he could to get by and help others. He would give the shirt off his back to someone in need.
Losing him in such a tragic and unjust way is something no one could ever prepare for. We’re doing everything we can to cover the funeral and memorial costs, and to lay him to rest with the dignity and peace he deserves.
Any amount you can contribute — no matter how small — would mean the world to our family. If you’re unable to donate, please share this page with others who may be able to help.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your support, prayers, and love during this incredibly painful time.
With love,
Naomi Castro
