Remembering Paul Shanley

On the 10th of August 2020, we got the shocking news that my husband & Dad to my three boys, Paul, had a tumor in his Oesophagus. He died after a very courageous battle just 7 months later. It is so hard to believe that there are still cancers out there that can go completely undetected and have such devistating effects. Paul & I were supposed to take part in an Olympic Triathlon in Gort, Co Galway last summer but because of Covid it was re-scheduled to this September. Myself, my three boys, and a family friend will now compete in this race to fundraise for the brilliant work of St Francis Hospice & the shake your lollypop Oesophageal Cancer Fund. The race takes place on Sunday the 12th of September just one day after what should have been Pauls 54th birthday. Unfortunately, because of Covid 19 a lot of charities are behind in their much needed funding so please show your support in any way you can for this great cause. Thank you. The Shanley Family.
