On July 3rd we lost our sweet Cody . He was in Santa Cruz and was hit by a drunk driver. His family and friends are devastated. Cody had a smile that would just brighten your day. He was an amazing human being and was preparing to start Nursing School in the fall. Cody was passionate about healing and medicine from an early age and was active in health organizations in high school. He always wanted to make life better for others. What an amazing nurse he would have been!

We are overwhelmed by the love and support that has poured out and so appreciate that people are reaching out and want to help. We are creating a Gofundme account, at the request of many people who want to support our family, to help us with some unexpected expenses such as locating his belongings and travel. Many of his friends are young and struggling financially, so it is important to us that you only donate if it will not put you in a financial bind. What everyone can do for us is share their stories of Cody. Every story you share, even the colorful ones, will be greatly appreciated as we celebrate Cody’s life. Cody loved people and loved to make others smile.
