HER LIFE:
On Thursday, March 28th we lost our beloved friend Avy. She was an amazing person that radiated positivity and brought joy everywhere she went. There were no strangers in her life, she befriended everyone she crossed paths with and made those in her presence feel special and loved. She touched SO many lives and will forever be in the hearts of her friends and family. Avy is survived by her beautiful, loving, charismatic 5yr old daughter, her husband, her parents, sister and nieces.
The second you met Avy, you were instantly her friend. She had the most charming and welcoming energy that made you feel like life long friends, within minutes of talking with her. She was kind hearted and had the most amazing ability to make you feel special. She made you feel like you were the only one that mattered.
Avy’s most cherished love was her family and friends. She would happily and selfless do anything for those who were close to her. She would bend over backwards and contort her entire schedule to be of service to others. Although she was employed by Disneyland and Starbucks, the little known secret was she would have done it for FREE.
If you were around Avy, you knew you had to be picture ready. Before you knew it and only at a moments notice you would be memorialized in Avy’s gallery of memories via photos/videos and Snapchat posts. Avy’s goal in life was to attend every party she was invited to. If you knew Avy, chances are you have a photo with her because that was her thing - documenting and cherishing life for what it was.
As bubbly and charismatic as Avy was, she never complained about all the personal struggles and hardships that she and her family had to endure. In January of 2011, she lost her beloved sister Vanessa to a drunk driver. Three years after her sisters passing, Avy and Pat welcomed a beautiful baby girl into the world and named her Aries Vanessa - in honor of her late sister.
HER MEDICAL CONDITION AND FINAL DAYS:
In 2014, shortly after Aries birth, Avy was diagnosed with aggressive stage of Lupus, a chronic autoimmune disease that attacks your immune system, specifically, her kidneys. Avy was a fighter and pushed through the pain with a smile of her face.
Her kidneys continued to fail and her body could no longer sustain the assault of this relentless disease. And on that fateful March 28 day, only 48 hours of her hospitalization, Avy passed. Being the sweet and loving person she was, Avy made friends with all the nurses and doctors that tended to her. In between rounds of medication, she always asked how the medical staff was doing; wondering if they already ate or how their day was. She was selfless and genuinely kind till her last dying breath. Avy passed away that day with loved ones by her side. She can now rest and be reunited with her sister Vanessa. Avy is survived by her parents Norman & Bambi Cease, husband Patrick Sunpanich, sister Raina Cease and so many loved ones.
It was privilege to call this angel my friend, because you weren't just a friend you were FAMILY and Avy would do anything for family. She will always be loved and remembered ♥️
THE CAUSE:
Many people have asked how they can help. This is how you can help...please show your support for the Cease-Sunpanich family. Let's show them how much Avy meant to all of us.
Your support and donations will help pay for funeral costs and all remaining funds will be put into a Trust for her survived daughter, Aries.
