Today, our world was shaken in the worst way. We lost our father unexpectedly, and the pain of this moment is something we could have never prepared for. My father was a loving, strong, and deeply caring man. Born and raised in Homewood, he was the kind of person God places in your life as a quiet angel — the one who sits above you when you’re angry, guiding you back to peace.

He was a devoted father to eight children, a proud grandfather to many beautiful granddaughters, a loving son to his mother, and a steady partner to his girlfriend — the woman we call our stepmom — who stood by him through every single trial and victory. His passing has left our family heartbroken and unready for the responsibilities that come with laying him to rest.
