Our dear older brother, Armando, was an amazing person in his lifetime and a devoted graphic designer. His profession took him to beautiful places and he would always share his memories with his loved ones. Always a free spirit, always on from one adventure to the next; his desire to live life to the fullest and love of new experiences drove him to elevate above all else. As did his love for his family and friends. This gave him the strength to carry on through the hardship he underwent with his illness and health. 

Armando suffered a long battle with diabetes that was first diagnosed when he was the tender age of 21 years old. With treatments and medication he was able to manage this illness but there were further complications. He was soon diagnosed with HIV. This combination eventually led to kidney failure. With dialysis treatments, his condition was stable but degraded over time to the point he suffered diabetic ketoacidosis. Due to his declining health, he was no longer able to provide for himself. Even through this pain, he was still willing and adamant of sending his love.

Just think of how on my birthday earlier this year, he sent me a Black Panther T-shirt along with Clorox wipes and cleaning supplies which were impossible to find at the time. It was funny and we had a good laugh but hey, we really needed those wipes and I'm so grateful he thought of it. That's who he was. He did all the little things to show he loved you. 

We want to remember him and show him we love him just the same. We'd like to honor him with a beautiful memorial and let him rest in peace. The goal is to raise $10,000 to cover the cost of the services and travel for his closest family which includes his siblings, mother, and his two nephews. I'm Ernie, his oldest surviving brother and I will manage the finances and expenses.
