It is with the heaviest of hearts that we share the devastating news of the passing of our beloved Olga Faataape (Richard Faataape’s beautiful wife and mother to Xavier). After a courageous and private battle with the horrific illness of mental cancer, Olga passed away peacefully on Sunday evening.

Olga was a light in so many of our lives—a devoted wife, a loving mother, and a cherished friend. Her loss leaves a void that cannot be filled, and our deepest love and prayers are with Richard and Xavier during this time of absolute heartbreak and distraught.

In the wake of this tragedy, we are mobilizing as a community to surround Richard and Xavier with tangible support. The burden of funeral costs is a significant stress we can help alleviate. We are therefore launching a fundraising effort to give Olga the dignified and loving farewell she deserves.
