Remembering Christopher “Unicorn” Cooley

In loving memory of Christopher “Unicorn” Cooley.

Chris was a next-level storm chaser, exceptional police officer, dear friend, and cherished loved one.

Chris will be deeply missed as he had the speciality of making any atmosphere fun, lively, and warm. Chris knew no stranger and would give anyone his own shirt and shoes.

He heard of family in need of a heater for their house and proceeded to say “Do we need to get that heater, can’t have the family cold.” When told that was too kind, Chris replied, “I have just enough to buy a heater, I don’t have much but I’ll figure the rest of my stuff out.”

Chris always had the weather predictions and forecasts down to a “T”. He enjoyed chasing tornados, following storms, and keeping his friends and family informed.

Chris accomplished his dream of becoming a police officer and served his community, fellow officers, and family with exceptional selflessness. From giving stickers to the young junior officers he recruited to having a way to make everyone smile, Chris was a one of a kind police officer.

Chris was a deeply loved and appreciated friend and family member. We will truly miss you Chris. Your smile, and humor will be missed. Your reputation earning you the name “Unicorn” and your ability to make anyone feel like family will be missed.
