Remembering Nimfa Ocasio: Funeral & Memorial Support

Our mother, Nimfa Ocasio, passed away on Friday, May 30th. Mom was an incredible woman who always knew how to bring joy and light into our lives. She was an amazing wife, mother, and friend. It weighs heavily on hearts knowing that she is not with us anymore. As a family, we are trying our best to support one another and the friends that she has made along the way.

Many know our mother as a great human being overall. She made people laugh, feel cared for, and, most of all, knew how to keep people's stomachs full with her great cooking. She filled our lives with so much positivity and joy in ways that we didn't think were possible and will cherish forever. She was also a devoted military spouse who supported our father's service for over 20 years, which inspired two of my sisters and me to join and serve in the military.

As we navigate through this difficult time, we want to give her a farewell that celebrates her beautiful life. As a family, we humbly ask for your support with her funeral to ensure we honor her in a way she would have loved and appreciated.

Visitation will be held for anyone who would like to pay their respects on Tuesday, June 10th, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Whitehurst Powell Funeral Home and Crematory. The address is 436 W James Lee Blvd. Crestview, FL 32536. Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church will hold a mass on Wednesday, June 11th, at 11:30 a.m. The address of the church is 550 Adams Dr., Crestview, FL 32536.

Any donation, no matter the amount, means immensely to our family and will assist with the funeral service. We appreciate all of the love, prayers, and kindness that our mother and family received during our mother's battle with cancer. We thank you all for being a part of our mom's life and journey.
