Michael ‘Mike’ Douros was everybody’s friend, whether you knew him from his childhood home in Spotswood, his lifelong ‘home’ in Chestertown, through family and friends from all over, he exuded kindness, fun, friendship and laughter!

Unfortunately, Mike had been having some medical issues recently, and he passed away suddenly this past week at only 51 years old.

Big Mike, as he was so affectionately known, was kind, and caring and could always be counted on to help others, even when he was needing help himself. Now is the time his ‘family’ needs us to step up and help give him a proper memorial, help pay off some of the medical bills left behind, and show him just how much he touched the lives of so many people, in so many communities up and down the east coast.

Whether you are a childhood friend, a part of his ‘family’ from Blythewood Island, just met him as he served you a drink, or just got to know him over years of undoubtedly crazy, hysterically funny shenanigans, Mike was one of the good ones. He was blessed by the multitude of relationships he developed over the years by people from all walks of life.

Mike will be missed immensely by all, but especially by his large extended ‘family’ from Blythewood Island. Mike was loved everywhere he went, he never forgot a face, and was never short on smiles to share and welcome you with.
