Remembering Michael Justin Dunn

Donation protected
Past and Present Bigfoot Brothers and Sisters,

On Friday Our Family lost one of its better men. Michael Justin Dunn completed his hitch here on earth. This is an immeasurable lost for all who knew him. Most importantly his family. Mike was a Husband, Father, Son, and Brother. We would like to Thank his family for sharing him with us. However, this was not the first time his family was asked to share Mike. Mike defended his country by serving as a United States Marine. There he created forever bonds with many brothers and sisters. Bonds that can never be severed. Mike worked for Nabors Drilling since 2012. He had a big heart, and it was fueled by the love of his family. Mike worked his way up through the channels. He was a man who had convections and he stood by them. No matter who liked it.

I can still remember my first encounter with Mike Dunn. And yes, I always called him by his first and last name. He walked in the galley wearing a hat, glasses, t-shirt, pajama pants, and crocs. The odd part about this encounter is that he had his pajama pants tucked in his shoes. I did not know if he was just cold, conscious of his ankles, or was just trying to pioneer men jogger style pajama pants. Either way he stood out. Over the years he stood out in other ways. Mike was often quiet but that spoke volumes to his character. As well as how people respected him and his opinion. I never saw him beat his chest. He knew who he was and needed no recognition. I was fortunate to share a few laughs with Mike Dunn. I fondly enjoyed watching him give his little brother Jesse (Chuy) a hard time when he had the opportunity and Mike made time to do so.

Our goal for this page was not to raise a certain dollar amount. It was not requested by the family. It is meant to be an avenue for all who desire a way to send their love, support, and appreciation to our brother’s family. Mike left us all far before we were ready to say goodbye. He will forever be in our memories and our hearts. Share your fondest or funniest memory of Mike Dunn. May these memories help to light his family’s path through this difficult time.
