Supporting the `Ohana of Mel Ho`omanawanui
Donation protected
Friends & Family,
We lost our favorite Hawaiian, our brother, Mel Ho`omanawanui on Tuesday morning, August 11th.
Mel leaves behind his beautiful wife Carrie, and his three wonderful kids, Mel Jr., 22, Cambrie, 21, and Micah, 15, who he loved with his entire heart. Mel's world revolved around his `ohana. We all know how hard he worked to give them a great life, the best education and experiences and memories they will always treasure.
He was also extremely generous with his time and love for others. He spent countless hours coaching and was a great mentor and uncle to so many. He had too many friends to count, from so many different stages in his life. Pauoa Valley, Roosevelt, Dirtbiking Days, Kalani Falcons Football, `Iolani, I MUA Athletics & Maunalani Volleyball & his entire trucking `ohana! We are now banding together because so many of you have reached out to the Ho`omanawanuis to ask how you can offer support as they process and navigate life without their husband and dad.
Due to the challenges of COVID 19, it is difficult to support the family in person. However if you would like to support them virtually, you can choose to utilize this page. All funds will go directly to Carrie and the kids. The family is also in the planning stages of a memorial convoy on Sunday, August 30th with memorial t-shirts. Details to follow.
Above all else, the family appreciates your love, words and memories. You make it possible to keep pressing onward to continue Mel's legacy - to cherish family and friendship, to live with joy and humility, to laugh, celebrate and spread aloha.
