On December 4, 2024, the unimaginable happened. Molly lost her husband, the love of her life, Matthew Saunders.

Matthew grew up in Randallstown and graduated from Pikesville High School. A gifted chef and creative soul, he spent two decades in Baltimore’s restaurant scene, starting as a busboy and dishwasher before earning his way to the role of Executive Chef. Cooking was not just a career for Matthew but his art and passion. He poured his heart into every dish and found immense joy in the camaraderie of the kitchen.

Matthew will be remembered for his extraordinary food, his brilliant sense of humor, and his steadfast care for those he loved.

Molly is an incredible person and has always supported those around her in their times of need. Now, she needs us. With the unexpected loss of her husband, any support we can show her and her son, no matter how big or small, will go a long way for their family. Molly has a long journey ahead.
