On November 29th, Mason was rushed to the hospital and underwent emergency thoracic surgery to save his life due to serious complications with his lungs. After days of fear and uncertainty, he fought his way through surgery, survived, and was able to return home. His family finally felt a sense of relief, believing the worst was behind them.

Tragically, on December 27th, Mason left this world unexpectedly.

Mason was only 22 years old, but in that short time he made a lasting impact on everyone who knew him. I’ve known Mason and his family since he was just two months old, and even 22 years later, his smile could still light up any room. He was a bright light—kind, loving, and full of life. He loved his family and his friends deeply, and he was just as deeply loved in return.

No parent should ever have to bury their child. In the midst of unimaginable grief, Mason’s family is now facing overwhelming medical bills from his surgery and hospital stay, along with the sudden costs of funeral and end-of-life arrangements.
