It is with great sadness that I share the passing of my dear friend, Marquis. A childhood leukemia survivor, he later faced the rare and debilitating Mitochondrial Protein Associated Neurodegenerative with brain iron accumulation (MPAN) disease. This rare and devastating condition led to many other diagnoses like stroke, paralysis, blindness, COPD, respiratory failure, which led to cardiac arrest and his untimely death at the age of 23.

Marquis was a fighter, and throughout his struggles, he remained kind, strong, and inspiring.
