On June 14, 2025, Mark Sviben passed away surrounded by family after his long fight with lung cancer. Mark was a longtime employee of the Voorhees Township School District. To say he was a character would be an understatement. As much as his hard work ethic was known around the district, it was his humor and quick-witted comments that everyone who knew him or worked with him will remember fondly. He always found a way to make light of any situation that we were in. Mark also was very giving of his time and knowledge, often helping staff members with projects around their homes.

Mark had always said that he never wanted his funeral to be sad. He wanted a celebration and for everyone to remember his humor and laughter that he brought. As we try to honor his wishes, please help his family celebrate his life with any contribution, no matter the size during this difficult time. Thank you.
