Remembering Mark Samuel and Mary Alice Bigler

We, the surviving grandchildren of Mark Samuel and Mary Alice Bigler, have organized this GoFundMe project to replace their deteriorating headstones (shown in banner), along with those of children Sylvia and Samuel (shown below) who died in youth, in the Wilford, Idaho, Cemetery and organize a memorial event in Eastern Idaho on or about July 7, 2021, the 90th anniversary of Mark Samuel’s death. We warmly and cordially invite all the descendants, in-laws, and friends of the family to join with us in sharing memories of our progenitors and their six children, our parents (Asenath, Cynthia Clark, Mark D., Peary, Alice Perry and Gene), in contributing to the cost of the headstone replacement and memorial, and then to join with us for the restoration of their gravesite and the celebration of their lives.  Karen Clark Hill will be in charge of the final expenses in order to purchase the replacement headstones.

We also intend to make this project a vehicle for sharing family history, reconnecting with relatives and others, and building new relationships. Grandpa and Grandma Bigler will always be at the core of the endeavor, and we want you to join with us in sharing stories and thoughts about them and the children they raised who are also now all deceased.  As a starting point we have recorded two memories of Grandma Bigler on FamilySearch.org recorded in 2018:
