Remembering Marius - Funeral and Family Support
Donation protected
Update: Thank you for all your generous support. We have contacted the family to make arrangements for gifting the funds and photos and they expressed their gratitude for this 'solidarity' and support from all of you and Marius's community here in London. Due to identity fraud prevention precautions, the Police will have to verify the identity of the 'next of kin' before funds are released but we are liaising with his family and the Collective over that process and hope to have it completed over the coming two weeks. The fund will remain open until this has been verified (including verified account details) and will close for donations thereafter and final payment made. A full audit trail will be available upon request. Thanks again and bless you all.

Mariusz-Cosmin Lupsa 28th October 2021
Yesterday we tragically lost a much-loved member of the community.
Marius passed in the early hours. To meet Marius was to love him. He was always smiling around the community. He was always thinking of and including others in The Collective Family and wanting to make everyone included.
Marius was originally from Romania and had been a Londoner for many years now.
Marius had many friends here and a number of people have asked how they can contribute etc.
Close friends of Marius have been reaching out to his family. This electronic means of support has been set up for collection, that can be passed to the family, to help with the significant costs they will incur over the coming days (it costs many thousands to take a loved one back to their home country and we want to lessen the burden during this heart-breaking time for the family).
Like many of us in the building, Marius was a long way from his homeland. For him and many of us, this community has provided a special place and ‘London Family’ so far away from loved ones – this was particularly felt over the pandemic.
Marius shared recently he wished he had moved in sooner. He loved meeting and connecting with everyone.
We would also like to collate as many images, memories, notes, etc. to share and send to his family and friends back home about his life here in London and to show how much he was loved and was an integral part of our lives and community here.
He loved to dance, he loved music, he loved the gigs and karaoke, he loved bringing his specially marinated kebabs to community BBQs, he loved lobby moments – the banter, the conversations, the jokes and philosophising … and telling us about his latest kindle audiobooks – he was at over 200+ and counting.
He loved learning and growing. He touched so many of our lives.
So please share your photos, your memories, videos, any farewell notes you may wish to write to him and his family and friends – anything you want to share to honour him, his beautiful life, and his memory.
Diego has kindly set up a ‘Google Drive Folder’ where you can view and save your digital files here for inclusion by the 14th of November 2021 (in 2 weeks):
Some of us will help collate these (please contact us if you wish to be involved) to then share with his loved ones here and back home in Romania.
There are discussions also regarding a future music/event fundraiser and more details will be available when those organising have finalised plans.
