Hi, my name is Rosalie, and I'm raising funds to help cover memorial and end-of-life expenses for my younger cousin, Marie.
I remember spending summers with Marie when we were kids, just hanging by the pool, hiking through the woods, and playing video games late into the evenings. Marie was tough, funny, and full of energy. She enjoyed riding her dirt bike and just about any sport she tried. Underneath her tough tomboy exterior, she was incredibly kind and sensitive. She had a big heart for a little kid, always accepted others just as they were, and was quick to defend anyone being picked on or singled out in the neighborhood.
Marie faced a lot in life. The loss of her father at two years old and emotional struggles as a child and young teen were followed by a battle with addiction. Despite all she had gone through, she worked relentlessly to turn things around, immersed herself in recovery, and eventually built a successful construction business. Everyone rooting for her was so proud. Even with all she accomplished, in our recent conversations, it was clear she never stopped trying to better herself and push herself further.
To me, Marie is a reminder of how someone with a heart of gold and amazing resilience can be so supportive of others while struggling silently with themselves. We're raising funds to cover funeral and memorial service costs so that everyone whose life Marie touched can come together to honor her memory with love, dignity, and the celebration she deserves.
Thank you for helping us celebrate the light she brought to this world.
