Marcus Anthony Taylor, age 31, tragically died as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident on April 8, 2025. He was born July 24,1993.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Wisconsin Rapids at 10:30 AM on Friday, May 9, 2025, with Father Robert Schaller officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:30 AM until the time of service at 10:30 AM at the church. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
Marcus graduated from Cumberland High School (WI) in 2012 and from Winona State University in 2016 in the Composite Materials Engineering program. He was an aircraft engineer at Mooney International in San Antonio and then at Bell Textron, Inc. in Fort Worth.
Marcus loved playing hockey, baseball, football, and basketball while in school at Ladysmith and later at Cumberland. He was an avid reader of nonfiction and a lover of outdoor adventure, engineering projects, and music festivals. Everyone loved his energetic and inquisitive spirit, his willingness to help others, and his infectious child-like heart. He will be dearly missed by his family.
He is survived by stepfather Steve Runstrom, Ladysmith; four brothers: Noah Taylor, Wisconsin Rapids; Jonathon (Samantha) Runstrom, Ladysmith; Paul Runstrom, Richfield, MN; Isaac Runstrom, Eau Claire; one sister: Jennifer (Shane) Jilek, Cameron; grandmother Patricia Runstrom, Winona; he is also survived by many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Marcus was preceded in death by his mother Maria Taylor-Runstrom, grandparents Bill and Mary Taylor, and grandfather John Runstrom.
