Remembering Maisee - Help for Roger
Donation protected
Many of you already know our beloved brother and bandmate Roger Wainwright lost one of his precious twin daughters. His dear Maisee died as a result of a massive seizure; she was 16. She is also survived by her twin sister Hannah, and her mom, Roger’s daughter Ashley. Roger adopted the girls many years ago and from day one formed a remarkable bond of love and deep connection with them. Those of us who witnessed it can attest that he made the girls his life – totally and freely.
Hannah and Maisee were born with profound autism and needed a very specialized level of care all their lives. Maisee and her sister attended Hope School where Maisee was always an engaged, active, and happy learner. Because Roger needed to be so committed to the special care of the girls, his schedule as a musician had to be greatly curtailed, including the need to leave our band, The Suburban Mystics. As a result, his income has suffered. Now, like all friends who go though very unexpected tragedies, he has many unforeseen expenses.
We love Roger, and his family, dearly. The entire musicians’ community of Springfield has deep respect for him, and most of us know of his devotion to his girls. Now he needs our help. When the news broke about Maisee’s death, dozens of people asked, “How can I help?” Here’s how: Give the most generous donation you possibly can. And say a prayer for peace and comfort for Roger and his family.
