Our beloved Mack was found Friday afternoon by our 11-year-old daughter, as she returned from school. He appeared to have experienced a seizure. We rushed him to the animal hospital for monitoring and treatment. Mack demonstrated remarkable resilience, regaining bodily functions, and we were able to bring him home a few hours later.
However, the next day Mack experienced a two-minute seizure which immobilized him. While rushing him back to the animal hospital Mack had another seizure. Once we finally got him admitted, he stayed the night for monitoring and treatment. Macks glucose and liver panel was extremely high. The veterinarian explained the glucose & liver levels may be high from the seizures which continued to happen.
Over the next 36 hours, the veterinarian closely monitored Mack, administering IV medications and providing exceptional care. Although Mack didn't respond as hoped, we found solace knowing every possible measure was taken to save our beloved Macky Boy. My heart is filled with gratitude for the time we shared with Mack, my loyal companion, and friend. His enthusiasm for life, love for walks, and joyful spirit will forever be etched in our memories. He loved going on walks and jumping in the kiddie pool even though he was too big to fit. His love for playing hide and seek always had a way of brightening our day.
We're raising money to help cover some of the costs of hospitalization, cremation, and a memorial urn so we may keep his memory alive. Your support, no matter how small, would be a heartfelt reminder of the impact Mack had on our lives.
