Remembering Lynn Ferrara

Our aunt, Lynn Ferrara, suddenly passed on January 4th, 2021 at the age of 62 years old. Following in the footsteps of our grandfather, Jack Ferrara, she served the Capital Region as an incredible dance instructor and choreographer for 45 years. However, she was so much more than that to her students and to her family. To us she was LaLa or Aunt Lynn, to others she was Lynn or Lynnie Poo. We all know how tough her love could seem sometimes, but deep down it came from a huge heart that just wanted to bring the best out of us. She was someone you could confide in and count on to always steer you in the right direction. She wouldn't hesitate to be there if you really needed anything. You wanted to make her proud. She was a role model to her students from Pre-School to adulthood, and often inspired those students to then bring back their children for the same experience in their lives. Her classroom was a place where you could leave everything at the door and join around a common cause. She took on so many roles and touched so many hearts in our community. She was one of our biggest supporters in anything that we did, and we were lucky enough to call her part of our family. We loved her like a maternal figure, and our lives will never be the same.
We set this fundraiser up to help our mother and family cover funeral and end of life costs. The dance studio has been stressed this past year, and we know these are tough times for us all right now. Any contribution is greatly appreciated.
With Love,
Nik & Jules
