Lydia Cota touched our lives in such a special way. We loved her because she spoke her mind lovingly and never pulled any punches. What she did not share were her constant health challenges that made her life painful in a way that only she could know. Tragically, her life's journey ended on Wednesday, December 30, 2020, from covid pneumonia. That date also ended a 32-year journey with her loving husband Eddie Cota. Not a perfect marriage journey. But a marriage journey filled with sacrifice, understanding, and unconditional love. Together they raised two wonderful daughters, Erica and Antoinette. They also nurtured and taught love to their granddaughters. 

  As with so many in our nation, and frankly, in our world. Eddie and Lydia were caught off guard with this tragic and devastating loss.
