LUKE KREINBERG MEMORIAL BENCH DEDICATION

Dear Friends of Luke Kreinberg,

Come help us celebrate the first full day of spring with the dedication of a new memorial bench in Luke's honor. Located in the El Cerrito Hillside Natural Area, Luke's bench provides a stunning view of the San Francisco Bay.

Many of you may have walked these hills with Luke - which he considered to be his own backyard. While remembering Luke, appreciating this serene location, and enjoying each other’s company, we will mount this bronze commemorative plaque on his bench.

Weather and Trail Note: If recent rain/mud is part of the picture – please wear appropriate footwear, and if necessary, bring a friend to lean on. To most easily access Luke's bench, park on Regency Ct. and walk down (west) on Navellier (not marked on map) trail 27. Turn right (south) on Ridge (again, not marked on map) trail 29. This route to Luke's bench takes approximately 15 minutes with trail 27 being moderate and trail 29 being mostly flat. If you are interested in doing a little climbing, the route to Luke's bench from the El Cerrito recycling center, takes about a half an hour.
