Remembering Lucian & Raising Choking Awareness
Donation protected
A tragic and unimaginable loss has shaken the lives of the Cook family. Their beloved son, Lucian Joseph Cook, who was just 23 months old, passed away on August 16, 2025, after a sudden and tragic choking accident on a marshmallow. Lucian, born on August 31, 2023, was a bright and joyful little boy who brought immeasurable happiness to everyone he met. His memory will forever be a guiding light for his family and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
In the wake of this devastating loss, the Cooks want to honor Lucian's life and create a lasting legacy of awareness and prevention. They are organizing a celebration of life on what would have been his second birthday, August 31, 2025. This event will be a tribute to Lucian's playful spirit and will be open to the public. It will not only be a space for family and friends to grieve and remember, but also a community gathering focused on preventing similar tragedies. The event will feature activities for children, a children's band, and fun attractions to celebrate the joy Lucian brought into the world.
Most importantly, the celebration will include CPR training and a giveaway of Dechoker devices, turning their grief into action by providing vital education to help prevent future choking incidents. The funds raised through this campaign will directly support this special event and help the Cook family cover the costs of Lucian's funeral, a land plot, and a headstone. Your generous contributions will help alleviate the financial burden on the family during this heartbreaking time, allowing them to focus on healing and honoring their son.
Every donation, no matter the size, makes a difference. It's an opportunity to show the Cook family our love and support, to celebrate Lucian's short but impactful life, and to contribute to a cause that can save other children's lives. Please join us in supporting Lucian's parents, Caleb and Autum Cook along with their family and honoring the memory of sweet Lucian.
