Remembering Lt. John Edenfield
Donation protected
On September 6, 2020 John Edenfield (38) unexpectedly passed away while at work. John was a husband, a father of 3 beautiful girls, a son, a brother, an uncle, a nephew and a friend to so many. John spent the past 16 years as a Paramedic in his home county, as well as many surrounding counties. He was an EMS instructor that helped to teach and mentor countless individuals into the profession that he loved. Prior to his EMS career, he served as a Fire Fighter. He lived a life of service to others that had a deep impact on so many that he took care of in their time of need and had a large family of brothers and sisters in public safety.
To know John was to know laughter until you cried, peed or felt that you could not breathe. He was the comedian, the life of any party big or small. He was the story-teller whether you were a party of 1 or 100. He never met a stranger and knew no limits when it came to being there for his friends. John loved to hunt, fish, watch football, and spend time with the ones he cared about. No individual has only one “John” story that made them laugh if he crossed their path more than once, every encounter with him included a good laugh or three.
John leaves behind many that he loved, including his wife, Whitney, and daughters, Elizabeth (12), Carolina (7) and Presley (1). John leaves behind a legacy that his family and friends will continue to share. If you feel compelled to donate to the family in this time, this fund has been set up as a way to do such. Whitney and family would appreciate your thoughts and prayers, as well as the continued stories that they can enjoy hearing and re-telling so that his memory may live on with joy and laughter, just as he always provided.
