Dear Friends,

As many of you know, we lost our dear friend Koichi far too soon. He was generous, one of a kind, and deeply loyal—someone who cared fiercely for the people and animals in his life. Koichi had a deep love of music, fishing, nature, and food, and he cherished every adventure shared with friends.

One of the things Koichi always wanted was to make sure Kathy, his partner of nearly eight years, was cared for and supported. In the wake of his sudden passing, we’re coming together to honor his memory and help provide Kathy with some stability as she navigates this incredibly difficult time.

We’ve created this GoFundMe to offer support with the many transitions ahead—relocating, returning to work, caring for their beloved cats Sensai and Fuku, and taking the time to grieve and celebrate Koichi’s life in the way he would have wanted.
