Remembering Kimberly MacDonald Vazquez

Donation protected

Please help Kim’s husband, Danny, and two of her kids save our family home. We had all been working to get the household out of debt before her passing and now it’s a very real threat that this debt will take our home.

On February 17, Kimberly MacDonald Vazquez was found unconscious and unresponsive. She was a daughter, a mother, a wife, a friend, a coworker, and a member of her community. Most would describe Kimmy as fiery, the life of the party, courageous, and extremely loving. Kimmy had a way of making friends instantly with anyone she met. She always fought for what she believed in, stood up for anyone in need - family, friend or stranger - insisted to fight for what was right, and always poured her heart into the broken hearted despite her own struggles she faced.

Kimmy had her struggles but she never gave up trying to overcome the obstacles that came her way. Through her ups and downs, she remained determined to becoming a better person every single day. She battled with alcoholism in recent years but never stopped her journey towards longterm sobriety. Despite her own fight, Kim helped others in their various journeys. She took people in who needed help, a place to stay, clothing, food, or a friend. She spoke at screenings for Telling My Story, a film she was in that was reaching across the globe to help fight social injustices in the world. This was her passion: people and the opportunities we all equally deserve.

We, as a family, are heartbroken over losing her. She was one of the few people that was always a rock for us. We now face an uncertain financial future and will lose the only home that her husband, Danny, had with her. We are requesting donations to assist in helping us keep our family home and in remembering this amazing woman with many titles. Funds raised will go to cremation services, a celebration of life, probate, debt, and honoring who we remember her as. Thank you.

Donations will be collected by her oldest daughter and mother.
