My name is Sean, Kelly’s nephew, and I am creating this fundraiser to help support my aunt, Angela, after the completely unexpected, heartbreaking loss of her husband, Kelly. This fund will help Angela cover the funeral cost and numerous medical bills incurred during his 8 day hospital stay.

Angela and Kelly were high school sweethearts who truly lived the dream so many people hope for — meeting the love of their life and spending forever together. They shared 33 beautiful years side by side and were married for 28 of them. Their love was strong, genuine, and inspiring to everyone who knew them.

Kelly was an incredibly special man. If I had to describe what he meant to people in one word, it would be everything. To me, Kelly was a father figure who taught me so much about life and the things we loved most — especially sports. To everyone else, he was the smile that could light up a room the moment he walked in.

If there was anything Kelly loved more than sports, it was his daughters, Madison and Autumn. The moment their names were mentioned, you could see his emotions change. He was endlessly proud of them and everything they accomplished. They were his motivation — the reason he got up every morning and pushed through any pain he was experiencing.

When it came to family, Kelly was the fun uncle everyone adored. The second his nieces and nephews saw him walk in, the laughter began. He chased them around, made them laugh with his famous “chainsaw,” and pulled harmless pranks that created memories we’ll cherish forever. There was never a dull moment when Kelly was around.

For over a year, Kelly was on workers’ compensation after being involved in a car accident while working for the City of Las Vegas. During that time, he received only partial income while enduring constant pain and severe limitations to his mobility, often unable to leave his home. With his passing, those workers’ compensation payments have come to an end, creating an unexpected financial burden for his family during an already devastating time.

Kelly leaves behind his devoted wife, Angela; his two daughters; his grandson; and a family who loved him deeply. This fundraiser is meant to be a surprise to help ease some of the financial stress Angela is facing during this incredibly difficult time.
