Keith Hadary, (Chops or Chopper, as he was fondly called by friends) age 61, went to be with the Lord after a 3-year battle with brain cancer. He was born on October 11, 1963, in Mishawaka.
Keith was a 1982 graduate of Mishawaka High School, a veteran of the US Army and served on the St. Joseph County Police Department for almost 30 years retiring as a Captain of the Warrants division in March 2024. As a police officer he served on the SWAT team, the jail division, the Road patrol, the detective bureau, the special crimes unit and the drug unit.
Keith Hadary and his family have been through a nightmare and gave cancer a hell of a fight. His wife Michele and their two boys, Nick and Nate, have done a miraculous job of making Keith comfortable throughout this 3-year ordeal. For those of you who have lived through this or have loved ones who have, realize the multiple issues that must be put on hold to dedicate all your time to your loved one. While thankful for his help with medical costs, additional unexpected issues like the need for a new roof, septic, and backyard refurbishment have strained finances. It seems like everything is in need of repair all at once! Many of you have asked over the 3 years what you can do, and here is a great way to help this family. Please consider donating for all these "extras". Anything you can give will go directly to Michele and the family. Thank you so much for your love, prayers, and generosity to the Hadary Family.
