Remembering Julius "Jules" Chavez

On December 31, 2021, our dear Julius Chavez peacefully departed this life. During his 58 years Jules touched countless lives through his friendship, blessings, teachings, knowledge, songs, prayers, words, jokes, and talents.

 

In the Navajo way, it is said you live on in four ways. First, in the memories and remembrances of your friends and family. Second, in the traditional knowledge you impart to others. Third, in your children and grandchildren. And fourth, your body returns to Mother Earth.

 

We know Jules will live on in all of these four ways. If you would like to contribute, these funds will be used to lay Jules to rest near his beloved mother, Pearline Begay, in Ft. Defiance, Arizona.
