Josiah (Joe) Jennings LaFever passed away unexpectedly on February 23, 2026. He was born on June 21, 1997, in Rochester, NY to Malcolm (Mick) and Rhonda LaFever.

He is survived by his wife, Alexis M LaFever, their unborn child, and cats Chester and Scout, parents Malcolm and Rhonda LaFever, Sisters Elizabeth (Griffin Meyer) LaFever, Rachel (Kenneth) VanDeWeert and Shelby, Maternal Grandparents Kenneth and Barbara Schafer, Paternal Grandparents Elbridge (Ebby) and Gladys LaFever, Mother in-law Cherie Wing, Sister in-law Abigail (Jason Woodard) Cavallaro, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Josiah was a beloved mail carrier in the Avon community, known for his kindness, warm smile, and the genuine care he showed to everyone he met. He found joy in spending time collecting sports cards with his dad, visiting the gun range, snuggling with his cats, and playing video games with his family and friends. He was a fan of the Buffalo Bills and loved watching football every week. Above all, Josiah’s greatest love was his faith. He loved Jesus deeply and found peace and purpose in studying scripture. He lived out his beliefs through compassion, humility, and service to others. Josiah touched countless lives with his gentle spirit and loving heart, leaving a lasting impact that will never be forgotten.
