It is with the heaviest of hearts we announce the passing of our sweet Joshua Landon Kolbe after losing his battle with mental illness. Josh was only 14 years old and leaves behind his parents Tyler and Katie and three younger siblings…his brother River, and two little sisters Lily and Damiana who will all miss him so much!
To know Josh is to truly love him. Josh had a heart of complete gold and if you were so lucky to ever meet him or even more to truly know him I can promise he made you smile! He was a light to all! He was so loved by all his many family, friends, and neighbors! He even had every teacher, principal, leader, or coach wrapped around his finger. And in return he loved others with every piece of his heart! If there was ever someone in need or something that needed done Josh was always there with a smile on his face willing to help. He certainly touched more hearts than he could ever imagine. Josh had many loves in life but his family and baseball had to be his truest! As long as the ground was dry enough you would always find him at the ball diamond! He truly overall loved anything outdoors or with his family and friends. Josh was an example to so many and again if you knew Joshua Kolbe then consider yourself to be so lucky!
As the Kolbe family face this unimaginable loss, we are reaching out to friends, family, and the wider community to help ease the burden of funeral expenses and provide support for their ongoing needs. Any contribution, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference as they navigate the difficult days ahead.
Overall I think we can all try to remember and honor Josh and support his amazing family in any way we can! I truly hope we can all be like Josh! He will be missed so greatly! We will all be forever grateful for him in our lives!
