Joseph was the most beautiful boy in the world, both inside and out. He didn't always show it but I always knew it was there. He was an experiencer. He had to try everything. He had to "push all the buttons" and I'm so glad he did. He had great friendships and great family.
He would give you the shirt off his back but he might take yours also (that's kind of a joke but not). He acquired things and people then would connect people and give it all back or something more back. He was complicated and very unique. I have never met anyone like him in my life. He was almost always true to himself, doing what he wanted to do. Maybe some because of peer pressure but also with his own stance or twist (that might be contradictory but yet somehow true).
Joey's smile and laugh would melt the world of all sorrow and worry. It would light up the world and your life. It was infectious and so truly a gift to be in his presence and witness to it. He was never on a team for very long but he tried many sports. I loved watching him. He was playful, cocky, dynamic and actually very talented. I say "actually" because he didn't take the time to develop things much. He was just naturally talented.
Many of these words and thoughts are not just my sentiments but those of many friends and family close to him.
He was silly, loyal, sweet, caring, curious, adventurous, big hearted, outspoken, mad and maddening, never wanted to be alone, never a dull moment, he had a very particular "Joey style", he liked bling, and he loved anything soft, always smiling and laughing.
Joey was such a big ball of love, passion, anger and energy that he can never be replaced. It is my wish that all friends, family and anyone who knew him take him with them in their heart and expand on all of that love and energy.
It is also important for me that everyone knows that this was an accident. He died the way he lived his life. Trying everything. Joseph died happy.
I believe he is still here with me and I hope you all find him sitting, running, playing and enjoying life with you too.
I love you forever and always, Joseph
Forever my baby you'll be
Mom
Thank you to everyone! I love you all.
