On June 7, 2025 my parents, Anita and Jesse Reed were in a catastrophic car accident where they were hit head on when another driver crossed the center line.

They were rushed to Wake Forest Baptist Hospital, where dad spent the next month in the trauma ICU fighting for his life. Ultimately, on July 7, 2025 his body was no longer able to fight, and he passed away with my mom at his side.

We’re now navigating the financial and emotional aftermath of medical bills, insurance, and all that comes with a traumatic accident and unexpected loss. Most significantly, we’re facing a new future without our wonderfully devoted husband, father, and papa.

We’ve received so much generosity and kindness, and know we’re not in this alone. We wish to thank each and every person who has donated their thoughts, money, time, and presence so far. There is a long, uncertain path ahead, but any donations will go directly to resolving any residual financial concerns from the accident and dad’s end of life care, and ensuring mom has a solid foundation financially and emotionally as she begins this new journey.
