With heavy hearts, we share that Jerry, known to those closest to him as Jojo, passed away unexpectedly on October 4th, 2025. His passing has left our family heartbroken and struggling to cover the expenses needed to lay him to rest with the dignity and love he deserves.
Jerry and I were no longer married, but our lives were forever connected through our daughter, Ally — his only child and the light of his life. She was his greatest joy and his one true weakness; no matter what life threw his way, his love for her never wavered. As his next of kin, Ally now carries the responsibility of making sure her dad is laid to rest, and I am doing everything I can to help her through this heartbreaking process.
When Jerry and I met, I already had my son Sisto, and Jerry loved him as his own from the very beginning. He would proudly say he already had a son and wanted a daughter — and then Ally came along and became the center of his world.
If you knew Jerry, you know he wasn’t always nice — but he was always funny. His humor was sharp, direct, and sometimes brutal, but it had a way of making you laugh when you least expected it. He loved good food so much that he taught himself how to cook, and his kitchen experiments often turned into memorable, delicious meals. And beneath that tough, no-nonsense exterior was a man who, in the end, still found the words to say “thank you.” Those were some of the last words he ever spoke to me — a small but powerful reminder of the bond we shared and the impact he had on those around him.
Losing Jerry so suddenly has left us not only grieving but also unprepared for the high costs of funeral and memorial services. We are hoping to raise $6,000 to cover funeral home costs, cremation, and a memorial service that gives Jerry the respectful, loving farewell he deserves — and to help Ally fulfill this difficult responsibility as she says goodbye to her dad.
We’re asking for help from anyone who knew Jerry — Jojo to those who loved him most — or who simply feels moved to help a young woman honor her father. Every donation, no matter the size, will go directly toward these expenses and will help Ally have the closure she needs to lay her dad to rest with love and dignity.
If you can’t give, please consider sharing this page so it can reach others who may wish to support. Your kindness — in any form — means more than words can express.
Thank you for helping us honor Jerry’s memory, support Ally, and give him the farewell he deserves.
With gratitude,
