My name is Wrene, and I am raising funds in loving memory of my son, Jerome Benoit. Jerome proudly served our country in the United States Marine Corps, where he was honorably discharged after serving with great dedication. Like many veterans, Jerome carried the invisible wounds of service and struggled with PTSD after returning home. Despite these challenges, he remained a loving son, father, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, friend, and someone who mattered deeply to all who knew him.
Tragically, Jerome was shot and lost his life. Our family is devastated by this sudden and heartbreaking loss. No parent should ever have to bury their child, and we are doing our best to navigate the overwhelming grief while also facing unexpected expenses. This GoFundMe is to help cover funeral and memorial expenses and to give our family the time and space to grieve without the added burden of financial stress. We hope to honor Jerome's life, his service to our country, and the battles he fought quietly after coming home. PTSD is real, and too many veterans suffer in silence. If sharing his story helps bring awareness or compassion to even one person, then his life continues to make a difference.
Any donation, no matter the size, is deeply appreciated. If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing this page and keeping our family in your prayers. Thank you for your kindness, support, and for honoring my son’s memory. With gratitude, Wrene Benoit
