Early Wednesday morning we unexpectedly lost my father-in-law Jeff Hobbs who was only 66 years old. One moment he was talking to Beverly and the next he was gone.

This news has shocked everyone who knew him but has completely shattered and devastated my mother-in-law Beverly. They began dating just over 50 years ago as teens and she has spent each day since then being his.

They raised 4 children of their own and have 11 grandchildren. Over their 45 years of marriage, in addition to raising their 4 kids and grandkids, they opened their home to countless others. Jeff & Beverly had a huge heart of hospitality and caring for those without a place to live or those who needed family. A couple siblings, their niece, great nieces & nephews, Beverly’s mom, people from church, and even a few other friends and neighborhood strays found a home with Jeff & Beverly over the years.

Jeff was the provider for the family and Beverly has a challenging road ahead without him and his income. The family needs to pay for final expenses and would like to hold a memorial service for the many friends and family who would like to remember Jeff. Any assistance you could provide towards his service and provide for Beverly as she adjusts to life without Jeff would be greatly appreciated.
