On August 8, 2025, our world shattered. We received a phone call no family should ever have to hear—my 15-year-old brother had been fatally shot in the head accidentally when it went off, and in that moment, our lives were forever changed. Four days later—just four days before his 16th birthday—my baby brother was gone. He was so full of life, dreams, and laughter. He should be here celebrating birthdays, making memories, and growing into the amazing young man we all knew he would become. Instead, we are left with broken hearts and the unbearable task of planning his funeral. What makes this even harder is that we are short on the funeral costs. Without full payment, my brother cannot even be laid to rest with dignity.
