Jared Charette, of South Windsor CT was tragically taken way too soon at the young age of 27 in the early morning hours of Sunday August 17, 2025, in an accident on Rye St. in East Windsor.
Jared attended Howell Cheney Technical High School, and was a member of the Class of 2016. Jared was a loving son and brother, loyal friend and hard-working employee of the family's construction company, Quality Paving. His worth ethics were rare of a young man his age, he was determined to bring the family's paving company to a new level. In the past few days, countless stories have emerged of how Jared helped others and was always there for family and his many friends when someone needed him or just wanted to escape work and have fun doing the many activities/hobbies he loved. In his down time Jared loved snowmobiling and riding quads/ATV's either here in CT, Vermont or up at the family retreat in Edmunds, Maine. He spent summers up in Maine with his Mother Laurie and Father Kevin, brothers Joe and Jake (& Katy), aunts, uncles and cousins as a very beautiful and close-knit loving family. Jared was an old soul, kind and compassionate, but determined and strong willed, a fine example of strong family love and values.
Jared helped so many people by running equipment on jobs, driving trucks and also working on trucks and equipment with mechanical issues. One man told a story of how Jared laid under his truck in 5 degs., "when asked he came right over" said the gentleman. That's exactly the man that Jared was. Memorial photo tributes on facebook showed photos and videos of Jared always smiling and happy while working with his family and with friends, videos showing how he was always loving life, being silly and enjoying time spent with many friends and his family just having fun.
Jared will remain painfully missed by all of his family and anyone who was lucky enough to be in his circle of friends. #NEVERFORGOTEN We have started this Gofundme to help the family with funeral expenses and 100% of all funds collected will be going directly to the family.
