Remembering Jaquis: A Life Taken Too Soon

My name is Jaquel Holiday April 24th 2025 my little brother Jaquis Holiday was senselessly murdered my little brother was retrieving a phone from his ex girlfriend at 9:40am in El Cajon city on 1st street when he got into an argument with his exes uncle the uncle pulled out a gun and fired 8 shots my little brother was trying to get away when he was hit in the left side of his face and 2 more times in the body he was taken to the hospital where he later passed away my little brother had a life ahead of him he was a boxer he was working on his business to train younger kids in boxing he had a plan for his life Monday he was going to purchase a RV and this would be how he would get to his boxing events for himself and also have some of his students with him so they could witness what is was like to be in a boxing match he was the sweetest he had over 20 nieces and nephews and they loved him unconditionally he would have time with me and my sisters kids and call it “uncle boo-boo boot camp” because a lot of the kids couldn’t pronounce moomoo he was such a positive soul the youngest of our 9 siblings he was only 26 years of age and the man who killed him was a 47 year old man names Terrell Gibbs a gang member and my little brother chose to not live this life and someone from this life still decided to take him from us over an argument my little brother will meet my mother in heaven please help us put my little brother to rest the way he deserves he helped so many people he deserves to be celebrated one last time like never before
