Remembering Jake Beaudin

Donation protected
My brother, James Patrick Beaudin recently passed away. He was loved by too many to count, and filled all of our lives with his witty dark humor and love. Jake was a paradox of being incredibly charming and good with people but also knew when to tell people to go fuck themselves. He was and is my best friend in the entire world. He walked me through my first broken bone, my first heartbreak and we walked through getting sober together.

We have all lost a friend here. No one will ever replace Jakes ability to show us exactly what it means to be human. May we always think of him when talking shit about our jobs, peeing our pants from laughter, and telling assholes to go fuck themselves.

Jake would want us to carry his memory and his humor into everything that we do always, and to always fight for the underdog at any cost.

We are overwhelmed by the offers of support and love to our family. We have made this gofundme to aid our family in covering arrangement expenses. We plan to have him cremated, to create a plaque near our uncle Jim, and to have some kind of celebration of life for him at a later, but hopefully soon, date. Our family is unable to work currently due to this sudden and devastating tragedy. Unfortunately our family is nowhere near financially able, so we have to ask for help. Please continue to share all memories that you have of him, and I hope that soon we can get together and share them all in person.

Update: per the GoFundMe policy, there is some information I will clarify here. My name is Mary-Kate, and I am Jake's sister. We are from Minneapolis, Minnesota. The funds raised from here will be used as follows:

1. To pay for all cremation and funeral home costs.
2. To pay for supplies and aid to have a celebration of life for Jake, and a plaque/tombstone, and information on the can be found on the Facebook event.
3. To help us deal with the business end of death, that is, to pay for tying up any loose ends (outstanding payments, bills, debts of Jake) once we are able to have his body released and begin looking at that side of things.

We plan to attempt to withdraw the amount necessary for #1 this weekend so that we may have his body released and once that has happened the rest of the fund will be used for #2-3.

~May the road rise up to meet you, may the wind be always at your back~
