Remembering Jack: A Life of Selflessness

Donation protected
My Uncle Jack unexpectedly passed away last week on February 11. He was 70 years old. We would like to have a decent service for him; however, my family doesn't have a lot of extra money at this time to give him the service he deserves.

Jack was born on December 2, 1954, and lived in Neptune City and Wall Township, NJ. He worked as a mason, worked for a city's DPW, and in 1989 got a job with Metedeconk National Golf Course, where he worked for 20 years before health issues forced his early retirement in 2009.

He was a die hard Minnesota Vikings fan and a Racing fan. As a kid he loved taking me to Wall Stadium and New Egypt Speedway and we watched every NASCAR race together all year.

Jack was the most selfless man you could ever meet and would do anything to make anyone happy.

The most selfless act he ever did was for his sister, my mother. When both his parents died, he moved in with my single mother to help raise me. And did so out of the goodness in his heart.

He would continue to live with me and my mom for the rest of his life.

In August of 2023, he became very acutely ill with pneumonia and had to go on a ventilator for 8 days. After he recovered, we thought he would be coming home. Unfortunately, he never saw home again.

He went to a rehab facility but was not given the treatment needed.

We visited him almost daily with food because he couldn't eat the food he was given.

He didn't deserve to have his last year and a half of his life laying in a bed.

If you could help in any way, me and my family would appreciate it.

Thank you.
